Below is a list of parent volunteer opportunities:
Field Line Crew - Help keep the lines for the fields fresh and perform minor upkeep. Requires about 30 minutes or less per week which can be done during practices or before a game. Volunteers receive training. Requires two or three volunteers, one to serve as primary contact.
Work Day Volunteers- We will have a couple of work days for a couple of hours. Times/dates TBA.
Carpool Coordinator and Volunteers - Coordinate carpools and/or offer to drive for away games and tournaments.
Rainedout.com coordinator - to update and administer the site when games or practices are canceled.
Water for home games coordinator - This year, water for players has to be provided by the home team (this is a new organizational rule). This coordinator signs up families to provide water for home games. There are coolers available to fill up with ice water at our field, or you may bring bottled waters for both teams. We also ask that our girls each bring their own jug of water to each game.
Tournament co-ordinator - Organize families to provide food, snacks, water, tarp and pop-up tents for tournament days. The two tournaments are in the Woodlands on March 3 and April 28.
Scorekeepers - We need to provide at least two score keepers for each game. Set up the scorekeeping equipment prior to the game. Training provided.
Our long awaited Concession/Restroom Facility and 3 new Press Boxes will soon be here! Construction on the Press Boxes has already begun, and should be complete by the end of September. The city has approved the permits for the Concession Stand/Rest Room building, and we hope to break ground by the end of September. With luck, the Port-o-cans will be gone by the time our season begins.
